Nancy Jane Stahl

Nancy Jane Stahl passed away on December 18, 2025, in Angleton, Texas, at the age of 88. Born on December 8, 1937, in Port Arthur, Texas, Nancy was a beacon of love and kindness throughout her life.

As a dedicated educator with Carrizo Springs Independent School District, Nancy devoted her career to teaching children, a pursuit that brought her immense joy and fulfillment. Her passion for education left an indelible mark on her students and the community, reflecting her commitment to nurturing young minds.

Nancy was a woman who truly loved her family. She is survived by her two daughters, Dianna Smith and Shelly Guidry, along with Shelly's husband, Lloyd. Proud grandmother to Heather Guidry, Leslie Valusek and her husband, Dylan, Lauren Mendoza and her husband, Alan, Lloyd David Guidry and his wife, Emily, and John Smith and his wife, Mariely, Nancy's legacy lives on in the hearts of her grandchildren. She also cherished her role as a great-grandmother, lovingly remembered by Remington Guidry, Duke Valusek, Liam Mendoza, Diego Mendoza, Wesley Guidry, Lucas Guidry, Lainey Guidry, and Cooper Guidry.

Nancy found joy not only in her family but also in her passions, which included music and playing the piano. Her home was often filled with melodies and laughter, creating a warm atmosphere for family gatherings and celebrations.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, John H. Stahl, Jr., who remains deeply missed by all who knew them.

In celebration of her life, a visitation will be held at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches, Texas, on December 27, 2025, from 2:15 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a graveside service and entombment will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas following the service.

Nancy Jane Stahl will be remembered for her unwavering love for her children and grandchildren, her dedication to teaching, and her graceful spirit. Her memory will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched.
