Dear Kim,You may or may not remember me. My name is Melissa Alvis. I met you, your mom, and dad when i lived in Nederland. I worked with Beaumont ISD and spoke with you on several occasions when you were at the station. I believe you were teaching Science and working as a coach for one of the surrounding school districts. when you were at the station. His Exxon Station was the only station I would purchase gas or have my car serviced because of your father's integrity. And if I had to go somewhere else, I respected his recommendations. I always enjoyed visiting with your mother when she was there. She always had the sweetest smile and kindest words. You all were like family to me. Your parents made Nederland a safe and friendly hometown for me. I knew I would always be treated fairly and respectfully. I understand the pain of losing one's parents. Yet, their spirit will always be with you and your family. I pray your memories of all that you have together fill your days with comfort, with peace and with joy. In Christ Our Lord and Savior.Melissa Alvis ~ August 2, 2015

Nathan Dickerson was a true gentleman. One of the friendliest people I knew when I lived in Nederland. He always had a kind word, was genuinely interested in what you had to say, and knew most everyone by name. May he rest in peace. Condolences and prayers to his family.

Dear Kim, I am so sorry about your dad's death. He was good to our son Darrin who worked for him during high school and I always enjoyed a short visit when I bought gas. Buying gas was never the same after he sold the business. I regret not being a better friend and neighbor to him. May God give you and your family comfort. Faye and Jerry Bledsoe
