Neak Sovanna

Neak Sovanna, 62, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. He was born on March 12, 1952 in Sisophon, Cambodia to the late Yos Neak and Chhoun Loeun. He worked in construction as an electrician.

Neak is survived by his wife, Mourn Thang Sy; children, Neak Chan Tib, Neak Poly and her husband, Michael Kan, Neak Chan Tin, Neak Sav Dine, Neak Sorphorn, Neak Hang Yaran, and Neak Sarak; grandchildren, Chhit Chou Long, Lim Cheat Ik, Lim Cheat Ya, and Neak Vancy Mann; sisters, Yos Sophath, Yos Sary, Yos Borey, Yos Leakhena, and Yos Selaroth; and brother, Yos Vanny. He is preceded in death by his parents, Yos Neak and Chhoun Loeun; brother, Yos Boramey; and sister, Yos Sokpheap.

Funeral Services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Charles Wolfe officiating. A gathering of the family and friends will be held on Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service.
