Neil Rae Murty

Neil Rae Murty, 83, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in Port Arthur, Texas. She was born in Port Arthur on July 26, 1937 to the late, O’Neil Melancon and Maudry Boudreaux Melancon.
Neil was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland and worked in food service for the Nederland Independent School District.
Those left to cherish Neil’s memory include her loving husband of 65 years, William E. Murty of Nederland; sons; Keith Murty and his wife, Melo Dee of Nederland, and O’Neil Murty and his wife, Darci of Katy, Texas; daughter Stacy Hadel of Ventura, California; sister, Rita Clark of Fort Worth, Texas, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Neil is preceded in death by her parents, O’Neil Melancon and Maudry Boudreaux Melancon; her son, Cris Murty, and her brother Marc Melancon.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Father John Hughes, Celebrant.
