Hate to hear Nell died. I worked for Shep and Nell for many years, through high school and college years, 1958 - 1965. I was the fry cook. They were great bosses and people. I have so many great memories of those days. I loved them both.

I graduated from high school with Cheryl & Mr & Mrs Sheppard loved all of us as if we were part of their family. I have over 50 years of wonderful memories with these precious people & fun times at Shep's. She will remain forever in my heart. This photo was taken in 2015.

I knew Cheryl since she was 14 years old. Remember her driving the Ford Fairlane, stick shift. Jim an Nell were so wonderful. I felt part of the family before Cheryl and I were married. They were both very hard working couple. Certainly enjoyed holidays with them in Cousatta and the night fishing trips. This was at Nell's sisters home. I could always depend on them for sound advise. Mr. Sheppard and I would spend many days fishing on the local lakes. Nell ran the restaurant with an iron fist.

Oh my gosh!!! That lady was feisty! She was loved by everyone she came in contact with. She reminded me so much of my own grandmother and more often not, i referred to her as my Ladybug. She was so good and nice. I have many warm memories of my Ladybug. Margie Zimmerman would take me to her home, where we I sit and watch old westerns. I just enjoyed ladybug so much and she will be missed.I know she hears me when I say " you are with your sweetheart again,Nell. You may resume holding hands. We love and miss you both, more than you know. with love, Sharon & Carey Jolly
