Nellie Yoakum Vincent

Nellie Yoakum Vincent, 90, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away July 17, 2012 at Oak Grove Nursing Home in Groves, Texas. She was born in Goose Creek, Texas on January 15, 1922 to the late John Franklin and Frances Walters Yoakum. Mrs. Vincent was a lifelong resident of the area, mostly in Sabine Pass, Port Arthur, and Warren.Funeral services will be held at Melancons Funeral Home in Nederland on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with a graveside service in Allison Cemetery in Warren, Texas at 3:00 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Nellie is preceded in death by her parents husband, Joseph Deles Vincent daughter, Kathryn Bonita Vincent and grandson, Forrest Seymour. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Frances Brown and husband Frank Junior of Port Arthur grandchildren, Vivian Riley of Vidor, Joseph Brown of Memphis, TN, Jeffry Brown of Roanoke, Tammy Nelson of Port Arthur, and Edwin Wolfe of Port Neches 23 greatgrandchildren and 6 greatgreatgrandchildren.
