Nelson Morgan Bodden, Jr., 55, passed away Tuesday, March 07, 2017 in Beaumont, TX. Nelson was born in Guanaja, Honduras on September 19, 1961 to Nelson Morgan Bodden, Sr. and Ellen Bush Bodden. He was a long-time resident of Nederland, TX and a local businessman and musician.

Nelson is survived by his parents; brother, Chris Bodden; sisters, Joanna Beard and husband, James and Dorothy Bailey; sons, Nelson Morgan Bodden, III, Matthew James Bodden and Grant Oneil Bodden; daughter, Hannah E. Bodden; grandchildren, Dihanna, Alexander, Bianca, Piper and a host of loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Jenifer Bodden and a grandson, Noah Bodden.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, TX. The funeral service will be Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., also at the funeral home with Bro. John Morgan officiating. The burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland, TX.

I have always remembered nelson to be Morgan and i do remember the picture with the long hair wow . My best memory is on saturday morning when mrs. Bodden would make her famous breakfast ... rice pudding beans and plantians . I love the bodden family very much and god has a wonderful angel to watch over all of yall. I will never forget all of the memories on south 1 1/2 street nederland tx.
