Nelson Michael Leger, 68, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. Michael was born September 26, 1950 in Port Arthur, Texas to Nelson Joseph Leger and Yvonne Hinton Leger. He was a lifelong resident of this area and a retired Electrician with Entergy with 25 years of service. Michael was a member of Port Neches Knights of Columbus Counsel #2461 and a member and Past President of the Lions Club. He was also a US Army Veteran. Michael was preceded in death by his step-sister, Leatrice Rawlings. Surviving relatives include 3 daughters, Michelle Jordan of Port Arthur, Texas, Teresa Nguyen and husband Thanh of Port Arthur, Texas, Crystal Walker and husband Charles of Beaumont, Texas; 3 sisters, Maria Dubois and husband Charles of Port Neches, Texas, Tina Kyler and husband Greg of Nederland, Texas, Jan Horton and husband Henry of Louisiana; brother, Leslie Leger of Nederland, Texas; step-brother, Ronnie Leger of Spring, Texas; and 5 granddaughters, Lauren Jordan, Julianne Nguyen, Annabeth Nguyen, Zoe Nguyen, and Natalie Walker. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.
