Neomie LaVergne Neomie LaVergne, 91, of Groves passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. She was born November 2, 1924 in Cow Island, Louisiana to Augustin Gaspard and Ida Boudreaux Gaspard. She had lived in Groves since 1955 and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Altar's Society. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 21, 2015 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend J. C. Coon officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a rosary service to begin at 5:00 p.m. Neomie was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Kearny LaVergne, son, Timothy LaVergne, four brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by her two daughters, Rebecca Balsamo and husband, Randy of Fannett, and Ramona Prate and husband, Dan of Willis, two sons, Terry LaVergne and wife, LeRae of Groves, and Eric LaVergne and wife, Jackie of Port Neches, five sisters, Yvonne Stelly of Louisiana, Ouida Sanderlin of Louisiana, Marie Hebert and husband, Ed of Louisiana, Codrey Menard of Louisiana, and Delores Major and husband, Roger of Groves, two brothers, Augustin "Junior" Gaspard of Lufkin and James Gaspard of Louisiana, thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
