Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Nolan Roy Wagner, aged 77, who departed this life on January 16, 2025, in Brookshire, Texas. Born on January 25, 1947, in Schulenburg, Texas, Nolan lived a life filled with devotion to his family, career, and community.

Nolan dedicated himself to public service for 40 years at the Texas Highway Department, where he worked in Maintenance. His steadfast commitment to his work was matched only by his dedication to his faith as a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. In recognition of his service to the nation, Nolan proudly served as an Army Veteran, bravely fighting in Vietnam.

His legacy is carried on by his beloved daughter, Amber Wagner Kruse, and her husband Michael of Katy, Texas. He is also survived by his cherished granddaughters, Alexandria Kruse and Hadley Kruse, who brought him immense joy.

Nolan was preceded in death by his devoted parents, Ida and Joe Wagner, and his beloved wife, Theresia Toler Wagner. He also rejoins his brothers, Daniel, Kenneth, Harlan, and Robert Wagner, in eternal rest.

A visitation for Nolan will be held on February 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service commencing at 12:00 PM, all taking place at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 2001 Nall St, Port Neches, TX 77651. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate the remarkable life of Nolan Roy Wagner, a man cherished for his love, service, and unwavering spirit.
