I am so sorry I will not be able to attend the services for Aunt Norma. I have been thinking about her the past few days. I have many special memories. I always looked forward every year to the beautiful Christmas card she would send to all of her family. Aunt Norma was the true definition of a kind, elegant woman. Sending my love and thoughts to Uncle Charles, Brad, Tam, and Matt.

In 1980 after living in Houston and moving back in 6th grade, I was introduced to this wonderful influential teacher who made me feel so special and literally picked me up and hugged me on the last day of school. I will never forget her love for me. ❤️ Then fast forward 13 years later I ended up marrying her sons best friend! Mrs McBee you will always have a place in my heart!

It is with great sadness to hear Aunt Norma has passed away. She was very loving, calming and always had a laugh at the end of her sentence or thought. To me she was a wonderful aunt filled with faith, we shared large family Thanksgivings and Christmas Events and Dinners. To the world she was a compassionate teacher who touch and gave guidance to so many lives. Dr. Charles McBee had a terrific wife, Brad, Tam & Matt had a nuturing mother and Aunt Norma's great joy in life were all of her beautiful grandchildren. I want to thank Aunt Norma and Uncle Charles for giving my Grandmother entertaining and memorable summer vacations. At the end of Granny's long life they would make sure everytime she went to the grocery store she won the raffle or a turkey. This really tickled and amused Granny and makes me smile to think of the fun she had with Aunt Norma and Uncle Charles. I can only imagine the generosity's and happiness Aunt Norma brought to her family, students and community. Aunt Norma you will be truly missed by all. With honor saying how much you will be missed Aunt Norma Jean McBee. Rest in Peace! Love you very much! Respectfully, Natalie McBee

Norma was one of the best. She handled everything with style and grace - even Charles. Well, sometimes even Charles could push her buttons. She had elegant style and would never be caught not looking fabulous. She was a wonderful mother and friend. I had the pleasure of knowing her about 47 years. Her family will miss her dearly and so will her friends. Rest in peace sweet lady. Debbie Knox

Norma McBee, Aunt Norma, was a wonderful loving woman, the portrayal of a 1 Corinthians woman, loving and kind, patient and forgiving, uplifting and encouraging. She always made me and everyone else feel loved and important, welcome and wanted, and just like they belonged when they came into her presence. It was a comfortable place to be. The love of Jesus shined through her and that great smile of hers. I am blessed to have had her in my life. She made an impact on my life and influenced us all to be better people. The memories, the fun, the good times and the laughter are all etched in our minds forever and will always be a part of us. We will miss Aunt Norma greatly, but how wonderful to know she is walking the streets of gold with her Lord and Savior today. We love you Aunt Norma.

Mrs. McBee was my 6th grade reading teacher and my 7th grade study hall teacher at Groves Middle School/Woodlawn Junior High. She was patient and kind, and she never raised her voice or said an ugly word. I remember she always dressed elegantly and she carried herself in a graceful way. Thank you, Mrs. McBee, for encouraging me to be a good reader and for investing your time and talents in the students of PN-GISD.
