Norma Rae Roffman

Norma Rae Davis Roffman 88, of Port Neches passed away Saturday March 29, 2014 at Harbor House Hospice in Beaumont. Norma was born in Port Neches on November 18, 1925 to Leroy Davis and Zelda Ward Davis. She was a lifelong resident of Port Neches and a secretary for Pure Oil Co. and the First Baptist Church. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Port Neches serving on many committees and planned many trips with the Adult 6 Department and C.E.L. (Super Christians Enjoying Living) group. Norma was a Charter Member of Beta Delta Chapter, Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority and a volunteer at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Funeral services will be held on Monday March 31, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Port Neches with Reverend David Mahfouz officiating under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday March 30, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Norma was preceded in death by her parents and step-father Lawrence Miller and by her husband Fred J. Roffman, Jr. She is survived by two sons Mark Roffman and wife Kim of Humble, Texas and Craig Roffman and wife Susan of Leander, Texas; one sister Neva Williford of Port Neches;one brother Darwin Miller and wife Marilyn of Wimberly Texas and four grandchildren Shelby, Avery and Devin Roffman and Andrew Sawinski.

I met Ms. Norma picking up her newspaper one morning. She smiled and waved and we started talking about her roses, and I made a new friend! I will miss you Ms. Norma. Sleep with the angels.
