Norwood "Bud" J. Stansbury

Norwood J. quotBudquot Stansbury, 84, of Port Arthur passed away Friday, November 18, 2011 at The Home Place in Groves. He was born March 16, 1927 in Port Acres to N.T. and Ella Stansbury and was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church in Port Acres. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and retired from Gulf Oil.Bud is preceded in death by his wife Myrtis and sister Helen Roche. Bud is survived by his wife Barbara of Port Acres daughter Paulette Powell and husband Jerry five sons Eric Stansbury and wife Darla, Bryce Stansbury and wife Marilyn, Daryl Stansbury and wife Judy, Nathan Stansbury and wife Melissa, and Troy Stansbury stepchildren Richard Bryan and wife Barbara Ann, Ann Cozad and husband Don, Patrick Bryan and wife Andrea, and David Bryan and wife Jamie sister Bobbie Keneson two brothers Curnie Stansbury and Ben Stansbury 25 grandchildren 18 greatgrandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM November 22, 2011 at Little Flower Catholic Church in Port Acres, Father Rejimon George celebrant with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon39s Funeral Home on Monday, November 21, 2011 from 5 to 8 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM.
