Olivia A. Watson, 86, of Port Arthur, passed away at Cypress Glen East in Port Arthur on Saturday, April 20, 2013. She was born in Cuero, Texas on September 7, 1926 to the late John Aguilar and Christina Garza and was a resident of Port Arthur since 1945. Olivia is survived by: son, Jessie Resendez and wife Kathleen of Georgetown daughters, Mary Rose Cormier and husband Carol of Orange, Becky Slocum and husband Bill of Port Arthur, Tonie Thompson and husband Jim of Groves, Sylvia Courville of Houston, Patti Harrington and husband Joe of Port Arthur and Katherine Jones of Houston sister Maria Perez of Port Arthur, Irene Briley of Opelousas and Anita Leger of LaBelle. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Melancons Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, Nederland. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
