Ona Lynn Arnold

Ona Lynn Arnold, 81, of Nederland, Texas passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. Lynn was born on November 19, 1941 in Jasper, Texas to LM and Louie Kilgore.
Lynn was a faithful member of First Methodist Church of Nederland. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Lynn enjoyed sewing, knitting and was an avid reader. She was a spiritual woman who loved all children and her classmates of 1960 in Pineland, Texas. Lynn was the best mother anyone could wish for and was a wonderful grandmother. She retired from Nederland School District after twenty-three years in food service. Lynn devoted the rest of her life caring for her loving family.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, LM Kilgore and Louie (Poindexter) Kilgore; her daughter, Elizebeth “Liz” Quinn; and a brother, Murray Kilgore, Jr.
Those left to cherish Lynn’s memory are her loving husband of 59 years, Thomas H. Arnold of Nederland, Texas; her beloved daughter, Georgia Dauphine of Nederland, Texas; and her pride and joy her grandchildren, Katie E. Quinn and Evan A. Dauphine; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Lynn’s Life to begin at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
