Rickie Gladden, I was in OJ apprentice class, 3rd year, It was always fun, OJ was always laughing and cutting up, he made it fun, he always liked celebrating Lent because he looked forward to the day it ended so he could drink a couple cases of beer that day. I never was around OJ other than apprentice school but i knew he had a good work ethic and was a excellent insulator, I had seen OJ once in a store about 10 years back and he had not changed, still laughing and having a good time. OJ will be missed

Nannie, Renee and all of the family-I will never forget the sweetness and kindness that Parran always showed to my family. I loved every moment I got to spend with him and loved his laugh! I have one of his big rosaries in my solarium...one that he had given Mama. I cherish it, as I cherish all of you. I'll hold you all in my prayers and send wishes for peace.

O.J. has a special place in my heart. I will always remember the day he asked me to play music with him in front of Johnny Alfred's store. After a few tunes, he looked at me and said " you're a heck of a musician, you know that? ". That's the first time anyone called me a musician. I'll never forget you O.J. Play a tune for me in Heaven, and I'll play one for you here, and hopefully, one day we'll one together again. Rest in peace my old friend.
