Ouida Ruth Keel, 84, of Groves, Texas, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023, at Oak Grove Nursing Home in Groves.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Nederland Apostolic Church in Nederland. Officiating will be Reverend James Corkran. Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. in DeRidder, LA, at Old Cypress Cemetery on Friday, October 20, 2023.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Nederland Apostolic Church in Nederland.

Ouida was born July 9, 1939, in Port Arthur, Texas, she was the daughter of Jasper and Agnes White. She was an all-things collector and had everything. She loved sewing, quilting, and cooking for her family. Mostly she loved spoiling her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and will forever be in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Robert Arnold; brothers Paul and Mark White; and granddaughter Michelle Weeks.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-eight years, Ryan Earl Keel of Groves, TX; two daughters, Sherry Corkran and husband Greg of Nederland, TX; and Janice Caldwell and husband Troy of Groves, TX; six grandchildren, Tyran Weeks and wife Ronna, Alexis Caldwell, Seth Corkran and wife Andie, Leanne Weeks, step-grandchildren; Tania Burgess and husband Jeremy, and Jonathan Caldwell; nine great-grandchildren; sister Bonnie White of Nashville, TN; brother Wayne White and wife Thelma of Lincoln, NB; and Luther White and wife Cheryl of Georgetown, TX.
