Pamela LaFleur

Pamela Blackwell LaFleur, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, in Bridge City, TX, at the age of 74. Born on August 15, 1951, Pamela lived a life rich in creativity, companionship, and love for her family and furry companions. Her warm spirit and gentle nature touched the lives of all who knew her.

Pamela found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was a talented individual who loved sewing and crafting, creating beautiful pieces with her hands. Her heart was always open to her beloved fur babies, who brought her endless comfort and companionship. She cherished time spent with her nieces and nephews, sharing laughter and creating lasting memories. Pamela also treasured the camaraderie of her special friends, Alma, J.J., Mary, Susan, and Amy with whom she enjoyed playing cards and games, and going out to eat. Pam was a member at Winfree Baptist Church in Orange, Texas where she continued her walk with Jesus.

Throughout her professional life, Pamela contributed her skills to various establishments, including Lamb's Office Supply, Market Basket, Carla's Cupboard, and the City of Groves Activity Building. She was also a proud member of the Eastern Star, where she found community and purpose, embodying it's principles of charity, truth, and loving kindness.

Pamela was preceded in death by her loving parents, Clydie Eugene Blackwell and Mary Lee Terrell Blackwell, and her devoted husband of 37 years, Norman J. LaFleur. She leaves behind her sisters, Brenda Miller, Karen Eggers and her husband, Marshall, and Vicki Raquet and her husband, Brad, along with her nieces, Ronda Sunderland and Rebecca Grimes; nephews, Chad Freeman, Terrell Eggers, and Carl Miller; along with other loving extended family members. Pam had a special relationship with Carla Mason, who looked at Pam as a mother. She is also remembered by her step-daughters, Aaran Walker and her husband, Byron, Dana LaFleur, and Phyllis Morvent-Ungerer and her husband, Gary, step-son, Norman "Skipper" LaFleur. She also leaves behind several cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Our family would like to send a special thank you to Felicia, who dedicated her time and loved Pam by helping her everyday. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 5601 39th Street, Groves, Texas 77619.
