Pat Guidry

1944 ∼ 2024

Pat Branham Guidry, affectionately known as "Little Pat" to many, passed away peacefully onDecember 31, 2024, at the age of 80, surrounded by family who loved her. Born on July 13,1944, in Beaumont, Texas, Pat was the beloved daughter of Helen and Pat Branham.

She grewup in Nederland and spent her entire life in the Midcounty area.  Pat graduated from Nederland High School and married the love of her life, Luke Guidry, Jr. The two celebrated 61 years of marriage, building a beautiful life together. She is survived by her husband, Luke; her son, Brent Guidry, and daughter-in-law, Lori Guilbeaux Guidry; her grandson and his wife, Grant and Malorie Guidry; and her granddaughter, Libbie Guidry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Pat Branham, and her sister, Darby Branham Bourque. She will also be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Pat cherished the lifelong friendships she maintained with her childhood Bluebird group and the Nederland High School cheerleading squad. These bonds stood as a testament to her loyalty and the joy she brought to those around her.  Known for her warm smile and giving heart, Pat's personality lit up every room she entered. Her love for traveling, shopping, decorating (her iconic slice of watermelon symbol will never be forgotten), and her famous macaroni and cheese brought joy to those around her. Pat also had a heart for service, often visiting sick and elderly friends and family with unwavering compassion. She adored her generations of dachshunds, with Molly being her most recent and cherished companion. Pat was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church for most of her life.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Pat’s life with visitation on January 3, 2025, from12:00 PM to 1:15 PM at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, Texas 77627. A Rosary will be held at 1:15 PM. The funeral service will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, located at 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, Texas 77627, from 2:00PM. A graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.

Pat's family wishes to give a special thanks to the tireless caregivers at Holland Place Senior Assisted Living Center who showered Pat with love and care throughout her illness. A grateful heart is extended to Ms. Lizett Ellis, Mrs. Nadia Cabrera, and all of their amazing nurses and caretakers, Angela, Darnika, Tonja, Jasmine, Amber, Jennifer, Ileana, Judith, Shay, and Ana.

Through love and dedication, her legacy will continue to inspire all of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

In Lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be given to the Dementia Society, CharityProud.org/donate (https://charityproud.org/donate) or StJude.org" Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure."

Hi Luke and family. Sorry for your loss. I do have childhood memories of Little Pat. She was always so kind to me. My Dad Percy Giblin spoke of her often. My last visit with her was at my Dad’s funeral. His wife Audy is living in Corpus Christi, TX.

First met Pat when we moved to Nederland and was growing up on Ave G. She and mom (Tootsie) were good friends & neighbors. She was such a sweet person. Mom usually made her a vanilla wafer cake for her birthday. She was loved and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers to all the family.
