Patricia McKee Coats, 69, of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. She was born on September 11, 1944 in Port Arthur and worked as a seafood processor at JJ Seafood’s.

Funeral services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor David Logan officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland. A gathering of the family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Patricia is survived by her six children and extended family, Delores Broussard, Judy Broussard and Curtis Broussard all of Port Arthur, Jeffrey Broussard, Jr. of Groves, and many close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bobby Gene Coats of 24 years.

Pat was the most giving person you would have ever none. The sun glass was all ways with her. When around people she felt better wearing them. I took that picture many years ago. Thank God I still had it. And I do have a pair of her sun glass.
