Patricia Anne Mitchell, 75, of Nederland, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Cypress Glen Nursing and Rehab in Port Arthur. Mrs. Mitchell was born on October 1, 1940 in Reeves, Louisiana to the late W. Allen Pourteau and Edna Donahue Pourteau, and lived in the Nederland area since 1956.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Nederland Apostolic Church, 1308 South 27th Street in Nederland with Rev. James Corkran officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday evening at the church.
Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her two daughters, Cindy G. Rashall and her husband Roger of Nederland, and Charlene R. Morgan and her husband Scott of Bridge City; her son Charles “Bub” Mitchell and his wife Jo of Deer Park; her grandchildren, Rocky Rashall and wife Tammy, Blake Rashall and wife Shara, Kristin Manuel and husband Joey, Kevin Morgan and wife Ashley, Jared Morgan and wife Christine, Ashley Mitchell and James, and Candice Mitchell; great grandchildren, Chasidy Britt, Canyon Rashall, Colston Rashall, Baby Rashall on the way, Ian Rashall, Kashton Rashall, Kai Rashall, Liam Rashall, Ayden Manuel, Ashton Manuel, Franco Yates Morgan, and Lindsey Riley; sister, Patsy A. Corkran and husband Clifton of Nederland; brother, James Pourteau and his wife Karen of Gilmore. She is preceded in death by her parents, also her husband Charles Ray Mitchell.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Rocky Rashall, Blake Rashall, Kevin Morgan, Joey Manuel, Jared, and nephew Seth Corkran.
The family would like to sincerely thank the many caregivers, Nederland Apostolic Church family, staff of Cypress Glenn Nursing and Rehab and Gentiva Hospice for all the love, support and awesome care our mom received. She was well loved and no one will ever forget her smile.
