Patricia (Pat) Ann Blevins Nohavitza, 85, of Nederland, died on June 16, 2018. Born May 19, 1933 in Wellington, TX, she was the daughter of the late, John and Ouida Blevins. Pat graduated from Shamrock High School and was crowned “Miss Shamrock”. She attended Texas Technological College and Texas Tech. Pat married the love of her life, Gilbert Joe Nohavitza in 1954 and they made their home in Midland, TX. After a few years, Mobil transferred them to Nederland, TX. After working in Saudi Arabia, Gil retired and they moved to Toledo Bend, their dream home.
Pat was employed for many years as a secretary and certified medical assistant. She also taught Kindergarten at Roberts Private School in Nederland for 10 years.
Pat was an active Girl Scout leader and Cub Scout leader. She was also a very dedicated community servant.
Pat had a passion for sewing, baking, reading, water sports and she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pat was a member of Toledo Baptist Church where she fully dedicated herself to do God’s work.
She is survived by her children; Brad Nohavitza and wife, Cathy of Nederland, Stace’ Voivedich of Nederland, and Kari White and husband, Craig of St. George, Utah; brother, Scott Dennis and wife, Keri of Houston; grandchildren, Michael Voivedich and wife, Kristen of Nederland, Ashley Johnson and husband, Colby of Bend, Oregon, Jessica Todd and husband, Roy of Herriman, Utah, April Davis and husband, Chris of Stansbury Park, Utah, and Wesley White and wife, Lisa of Herriman, Utah; great -grandchildren, Hudson and Kolton Voivedich, Alyssa, Taylor and Cayson Todd, Braiden and Gaige Davis, Tanner and Madyson Lepire; numerous nieces and nephews; and especially her loving furry babies, Dudley and Winston.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gil.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. with services to follow at 6:30 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland.
The family would like to give thanks to Heart of Texas Hospice, nurse Raul Lopez; Oak Grove Nursing Home and her caring friend Shawanna. A very special thanks to Linda Guillory and Jean Thomas for their loving and devoted care to our mother during her time of need.
