Patsy Jorgensen, 77, of Nederland, Texas passed away February 19, 2012 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on April 7, 1934 to the late Lynch and Ophelia Louvier Thomas. Patsy was a homemaker but for more than 20 years, she was a faithful volunteer, past Board Member, and part of the quotTuesday crewquot at the Hospitality Center in Port Arthur where she prepared the meals, served it, and then cleaned the Center afterwards. She was the cofounder of Saltwater Anglers League of Texas SALT and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland.Funeral services will be held at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., Msgr. Bennie Patillo officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22nd at the funeral with a K.C. Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m.Patsy is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Oliver Jean Jorgensen.
