Patrick “Pat” James Duhon, 67, of Nederland, Texas passed away July 25, 2020. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on September 22, 1952 to the late Allen Zacharie Duhon and Edna Mae Mallet Duhon.

Those left to cherish Pat’s memory are his wife of 16 years, Rhonda Tompkins Duhon of Nederland; his daughter, Jennifer Vaughn of Richmond; his son, Allen Duhon and his wife, Danielle of Nederland; his daughter, Ashley Hill and her husband, Clint of Beaumont; his son, Austin Halter of Chicago, Illinois; his grandchildren, Austen Vaughn, Bailey Vaughn, Chandler Vaughn, Nash Duhon, Isley Duhon and Boston Hill; his great-grandchildren, Lillie Vaughn and Autmn Vaughn; his sister, Leanna Bieber and her husband; Roland of Nederland; and also numerous nieces and nephews. Pat is preceded in death by his parents; his son-in-law John Vaughn; and his brother Michael Duhon.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, July 31, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Funeral Services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland.

Original Entry Made in August Did Not Post I have been friends with Pat's beautiful wife, Rhonda, for 49 years. I always enjoyed seeing the two of them together at our class reunions, and I will remember Pat as a very kind and gentle soul. The pastor at my pappa's funeral said something that brought a lot of comfort to my broken heart. I share it with you all now, as I hope that it will do the same for you. He said, "As long as you have memories of someone, they never really die." May you all rejoice in the beautiful memories of Pat.
