Patsy Jean Holievina, 88, of Port Arthur, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born October 22, 1929 in Marlin, to the late Arthur and Ruby Matte Armentor, and lived most of her life in the Port Arthur and Nederland. Patsy was retired from American National Insurance Company with 27 years of service. She also was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Pete Holievina of Port Arthur; her daughter, Candy Totten and her husband, Henry of Groves; her sons, Buck Holievina and his wife, Dana of Nederland, and Kim Holievina of Port Arthur. Patsy had 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A scriptural Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. followed by the visitation until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with Deacon, Ivan Watson presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Msgr. Dan Malain, Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. Services are under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland.
