I remember Patty as a skinny little girl with super curly blonde hair. I think she loved having lots of siblings. She lived in town , as I did, so I walked to school with her sometimes. I remember my Dad picking her up for church a few times. I didn't know her as an adult, but it sounds like she had a large and wonderful family surrounding her. RIP Patty.

Patty was a feisty, kind-hearted woman who helped teach a terrified, and equally feisty, 21 year old girl how to be a Mom. She was my Mom for years and even after she no longer was legally, she still treated me like family and told me how proud she was of the way I was raising her granddaughter. She taught me that tender hearts are a curse and a blessing but to be true to yourself. She also taught me that you may not be able to rescue all animals but by God, you can try! She could give you a piece of her mind and the most genuine hug right after. You always knew where you stood with her. Her spirit is light and love. I'm a better woman, and Mother, for knowing her. Prayers to all her family and friends during this time.
