To my dear Mire family, I am so very saddened by the news of Pattye's passing. She was such a special lady and loved each of you unconditionally. Take comfort in knowing she is resting peacefully and joyfully in the loving arms of our Almighty Abba. Pattye was like a second mother to me as I grew up only 2 doors down Gulf St. and was great boyhood friends with David. I love you all so very much and ask God to give you all strength and courage in the days and weeks ahead. Y'all take care of my second dad, JD, as he is truly a loving man of God. I'm praying for each of you daily. My love to you all.

My heart is saddened at the loss of this precious lady. I am uplifted, however, by the fact that she feasts at the banquet table of our Lord. JD and family, I'm so honored to have grown up with this angel just down the street. May God's mercy be with you all as we get through this sad time. I love you all, Jan McKee Bernard.
