Dear Lilah and children: My heart hurts tonight as I hear about the death of Paul. It boggles my mind that he and Ben died so closely together and are seeing Jesus face to face, laughing, telling and embellishing their stories and memories of our old port Arthur days. We are never prepared for the loss of the love of our lives and the pain never leaves us but God promises to bind up our brokn hearts and gets us through the journey of mourning to a hopeful, brightr tomorrow. We will both smile again one day---soon, I hope. Know that my thoughts are with you and your family and we pray for your strength and courage during these heart-wrenching days to come. Hugs to all of you! Carolyn Durr

Lila and family, Paul was such a wonderful person who loved the Lord and shared this with everyone that he met. Mom and Dad (Scottie and Wylma Collins) spoke so very highly of him. On a personal note, I remember you and Paul praying for me when I was having difficulty with infertility. Gary and I were blessed with two beautiful boys (both Eagle Scouts) who are in college now. May the Lord comfort you and and hold you in His arms during this difficult time.

"My name is Paul Pond...P-a-u-l P-o-n-d...little name, big life." Those who ever attended one of Paul's hundreds of presentations know that Paul started each one with that quote. Never were truer words spoken. Paul was a walking blessing in every aspect of his life. Through his presentations he shared his incredible family and faith with everyone in the room. All would be touched...blessed by his testimony of Leaving a Legacy. It is a privilege to know Paul and the Pond family. He will be missed incredibly and remembered for teaching day in and day out the importance of God and family. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the family, knowing they are all smiling inside with pride for him being a great husband, incredible father and the amazing friend he was to so many. I am grateful to have had my path cross with him and his family both personally and professionally. Peace and blessings to all of you and yours Lila. Love, Michelle

Lila and family, I was sadden to hear of Paul's homegoing, however, his faith in Christ secures him a final resting place we all should work toward. Paul was truly a remarkable person whom I considered a friend. My prayers are with you at this time; please know "earth has no sorrow, that Heaven cannot heal." Peace be unto Paul's ashes and may his soul rest in the pavilion of the Most High God; goodnight Paul, we'll see you in the morning!

Dear Lila and Family, I was lucky enough to be introduced to Paul back in Jan. '09 in Dallas for a Stewart meeting. I found out then, New Orleans held a special place for you both. Paul truly believed in leaving a Legacy for the future and that he did in such a dignified and graceful way. May Paul's guardian angel take care of you, Lila and ALL of your wonderful Family! My thoughts and prayers are with you! Jeanne Keene New Orleans, LA
