Paula Suzanne Capps beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, best friend, mother-in-law, cousin, niece, neighbor of Nederland passed away peacefully on February 17 at the age of 62, after a brief but brave battle with cancer. She is survived by daughter Allison Powell Jernigan and son-in-law John; grandsons Brayden and Gavin; brother Dr. Charles James Capps III and wife Patricia; great-aunt and uncle, who lovingly served as caregivers in final days, Mary and Chester Broussard; best friend Krissy Boudreaux; and many family and friends who loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her father, Dr. Charles James Capps Jr and mother, Ruby Reed Capps. The family will receive friends at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas.
