Obituary

Arlette Guidry, a beloved wife, grandmother, and friend, passed away on December 23, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas, at the age of 74. Born on April 1, 1951, in Port Arthur, Texas, Arlette was a kind and vibrant spirit who touched the lives of everyone she met.

Throughout her life, Arlette dedicated herself as a consummate homemaker. She was known for her caring and loving nature, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her love for music, particularly the Golden Oldies, brought joy not only to her but also to those around her.

Known affectionately as Arlette, she displayed a joyful and outgoing personality. Her humor and helpful disposition made her a cherished friend and confidante. There truly was nothing she wouldn’t do to assist others, a testament to her character as a good person who spread happiness wherever she went.

Arlette leaves behind her devoted husband of 56 years, Tony Guidry. She was a proud grandmother to her grandchildren, Keaton Guidry and Jolie Murphy.

A visitation in honor of Arlette will be held on January 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, located at 1605 Avenue H in Nederland, Texas.

Arlette was preceded in death by her parents, H.N. and Verna Mae Sonnier, and her sons, Scott Guidry and Sean Guidry. Though they are no longer with us, their memories will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those they touched.

Arlette will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and kindness, will forever remain etched in the hearts of her family and friends.

My Deepest Sympathy to you Tony and your beatififul family. May Good bless you all. Arlette was one of the sweetest ladies I knew.She was funny, loving, a character to say the least, and just fun to be around. Our kids grew up together and that was fun. Scott and Jason became best friends. Arlette, I love you RIP sweetheart.
