Paula Wadene Peete, 78 years of age, entered into glory with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Friday, June 14th, 2024 in Cypress, Texas while resting peacefully in her bed. "Dene" was born August 21st, 1945 in Groves, Texas to the late Wade and Connie Purkey. She was one of four children, preceded in death by sister, Amber Mirabella. Dene graduated from Port Neches Groves High School in 1963 and attended Port Arthur Business school. Dene moved to Houston, Texas and married Ed Peete in 1972 and they had two children. Dene professed her life to Christ and lived her life serving the Lord. She loved Jesus and loved spreading the good news. Dene worked for the Fort Bend school district and Merrill Lynch before she retired in 2010. Dene loved to read her Bible, spend time with her dear prayer partner, Nancy or attend Bible study. She always visited with her neighbors or grandchildren on her front porch swing. She enjoyed tending to her flowers, church gatherings and anything and everything her children and grandchildren were involved in. She will always be their number one fan and faithful prayer warrior. Dene was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2021. Dene is survived by her sister Karen Jo Jennings, brother Gene Purkey, daughter Ashley Yoakem, son Wade Peete and grandchildren Cameron, Braddock, Oliver, Mallory, Madison and Eliana.
