Peggy Jo Storey Propps, 80, of Port Arthur, Texas died Saturday February 5, 2011 in Bridge City, Texas. Peggy was born December 23, 1930 in Lonoke, Arkansas to Thermon C. Storey and Ruby Pyburn Storey. She moved to Port Arthur in the fifties. Peggy was a homemaker and then went to Lamar University when she was in her 50's for Nursing. She was a healthcare giver until she retired at the age of 70. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Bill Propps, father Thurmon Storey, mother Ruby Storey McGuire and sister Bettye Pew. Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 8, 2011 at 10:00 am with Dr. Rick Erwin of Procter Baptist Church officiating at Levingston funeral Home in Groves. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. Peggy is survived by her two sons Mike Propps and wife Sheri of Nederland, Tx. and Bobby Propps of Nacogdoches, Tx. and daughter Pam Propps Guidry and husband Booney of Bridge City, Tx., five grandchildren; Lissa Propps, Misty Propps, Keely Guidry Travis, Mindy Guidry and Taylor Guidry. She was blessed with two great grandchildren Dacia and Braden. She is also survived by her brother Jack Storey and sister-in-law Mary of Russellville, Arkansas, two sisters Kitty Conley and brother-in-law Kenneth of Burbank, Oklahoma and Carol Cooney and brother-in-law Tom of Springfield, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hughen Center 2849 9th Ave. Port Arthur, Texas 77642.

We were so appreciative of the loving care that Peggy provided for our Mother, Ollie Conley, who lived in Nederland (1988). May God comfort you as you deal with the sadness of her passing.

Mrs. Propps used to be the neighbor of my parents, the Rivieres, at Carriage Park Apartments in Groves. She was such a sweet lady. She used to always check on my parents and visit with them. You will be in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. May she rest in peace!
