Phillip “Darrell” Piletere, 69, of Groves, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017 in Beaumont. Darrell was born on June 3, 1948 in Port Arthur to the late Henry Piletere and Leatrice Boudreaux Piletere. He graduated from Bishop Byrne High School and he was a retired steel worker.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Gresham Piletere of Groves; daughter, Teresa Istre and husband Eric of Vinton, LA; son, Chad Piletere of Beaumont; grandchildren, Kristen, Brianna, Haley and Isabelle; great grandson, Drakon; brothers, Craig Piletere and wife, Sheila of Nederland. He is preceded in death by his parents.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. J. C. Coon officiating. The interment will be at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park located at 5432 Old Hwy 90 in Orange, TX 77632.
