R. C. Graham, 82, of Groves, Texas passed away Monday, April 22, 2013 at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas. R. C. was born July 2, 1930 in Port Arthur, Texas to Gillom B. Graham and Jewel Gill Graham. He was a lifelong area resident and longtime member of Groves First Baptist Church. R. C. retired from the Security Department of DuPont after 32 years of service. He formerly worked for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department and Groves Police Department. At present he was employed with Jefferson County District Attorney's office for the past 20 years. He was a member of Groves Masonic Lodge #1315 and Galveston Shriners. R. C. was also named Groves Father of the Year in 2003 and was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronald Graham. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Faye Falcon Graham of Groves; three daughters, Rhonda King and husband, Thad of Groves, Rayna Higgins and husband, Danny of Groves, Reagan Sheppard and husband, Jason of Groves; one son, Brad Graham of Groves; sister, Jewel Gil and husband, Donald of Groves; brother, Raymond Graham and wife, Sue of Bridge City; five grandchildren, Ryan Amburn, D. J. Higgins, Ashley, Chandler and Libbey Sheppard. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Groves with Dr. Joe Worley and Reverend Charles Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Friends wishing to make memorial contributions may send them to: M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

On behalf of the entire Groves Police Department, I would like to extend our sincere condolences to the Graham family. The passing of R.C. is a tremendous loss to Jefferson County. He will be greatly missed for years to come. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Enjoyed may visits with R. C. at Church and at Law Enforcement functions. He was a beloved fellow officer and friend. He has now joined his Dad and our Heavenly Father. Prayers for comfort for the family.

The Groves Police Department lost a true friend, one who was always willing to help, willing to do what was right, and willing to stand up for those who needed help. My prayers are with the family and close friends who will miss him each and every day. A true gentleman that I am proud to have had the honor of knowing as a friend.
