R. Guy Williford, 83, of Port Neches passed away Thursday, December 24, 2009 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. He was born on July 21, 1926 in Warren, Texas to R. Guy Williford, Sr. and Nora Gant Williford. Guy was a graduate of Warren High School and of Lamar University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. He was a longtime resident of Port Neches and retired as Manager of Plant Services from Ameripol Synpol. Guy was a member of First Baptist Church, Port Neches, serving as a Teller for many years. He was Past Master of Port Neches Lodge, #1163, and a Volunteer at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Guy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Neva Davis Williford of Port Neches; three children; Dale Williford of Kountze, Tx., Lori Prescott of Shreveport, La., and Brian Williford, Sr. and wife, Cathy of Magnolia, Tx., brother; Elmer Royce Williford and wife, Edyth of Lufkin, Tx., sister; Maxine Clark of Bridge City, Tx and six grandchildren; David Williford, Chrissy Williford, Brian Williford, Jr., Dale Williford, Jr., Lacie Prescott, and Matthew Baker. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 28, 2009 at The First Baptist Church Port Neches, with Dr. David Mahfouz officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park with Port Neches Lodge #1163 conducting the Masonic graveside rites. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.
