Rafael Angel Artola, 33, of Nederland, Texas passed away June 2, 2020. He was born in Nicaragua to Freddy Artola and Linda Guerrero Solo Sano.

Those left to cherish Rafael’s memory are his wife, Maria Antoina Esquivel Artola of Nederland; his children, Clarissa Galvan, Luis Artola, Sophia Artola, Enrique Galvan, and Kimberly Galvan; his parents, Freddy and Linda Artola of Port Arthur; his brothers, Freddy Artola, wife, and children and Alan Artola, wife and children; his sisters, Ligia Guzman, husband and children, Ingrid Artola, husband and children, and Kyri Artola, husband and children; his mother-in-law, Marta Esquivel; his father-in-law, Martin Esquivel; brother-in-laws, Martin Equivel, wife and children, and Raul Esquivel; and his sister-in-laws, Claudia Alvarado, husband and children, and Izamary Arevalo, husband and children. He is preceded in death by his sister, Kristi Artola.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Sunday, June 7, 2020 with a funeral service being held at 3:00 p.m., Rev. Donnie Robbins officiant.
