A Life Remembered

Obituary

Our beloved Randall Griffith, born on December 2, 1952, in Port Arthur, Texas, peacefully left us on June 22, 2026, in Nederland, Texas. Randall was a truly devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and his warm presence will be profoundly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Randall dedicated an impressive 43 years of his life to Southwestern Bell/ATT before retiring, but it was outside of work where his true passions shone. He found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life: tending to his garden, deer hunting at the Griffith family camp in Town Bluff, and attending any event his grandchildren were involved in. He was known for his "piddling and fixing things" and working around his garage. He also loved the thrill of attending estate sales, always on the hunt for a unique treasure to add to his collection.

More than anything, family was the absolute cornerstone of Randall's world. He treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren, creating countless lasting memories that we will hold dear. He leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years, Jody Griffith of Nederland, who was his steadfast partner through thick and thin. He will be deeply missed by his son, Jake Griffith of Nederland, and his daughter, Katy Watson and her husband, Lance, of League City. His legacy lives on through his adored grandchildren, Riley Watson, Cali Griffith, Lane Watson, Cassidy Griffith, and Max Watson, who brought so much light into his life. Randall is also survived by his dear brothers, Ross Griffith and his wife, Anne, of Port Neches, and Gary Griffith of Nederland, along with many nieces and nephews.

Randall was reunited in heaven with his beloved parents, Willie "Bub" Griffith and Lela Mae Griffith, and his sister, Charlotte Griffith Wallace, who preceded him in death.

We invite friends and family to join us for a visitation on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM to be held at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, Texas. Following the service, a graveside service will also be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Randall's memory to The American Cancer Society. https://donate.cancer.org

Please know how sorry I am for your husband and love of your life. I’ve felt that type of loss many years ago. I survived that experience, as I know someone of your character will do some day. I pray someday you will find your way through the loss to a place where you feel their calming presence looking over you.
