Randy was Captain of the Cove Point when I got my first job pushing oil tows across the Mississippi Sounds from New Orleans to Mobile for Maryland Marine. Working as Pilot under his leadership was a huge learning experience for me and helped my future immensely. What he taught me is indispensable and I wish I could have thanked him before he left us. He was a great Captain and sailor that will be missed. Having a vessel built in his honor with his name was surely fitting and well deserved. My heart felt condolences go out his loved ones. Sail on, good Captain... MF

I knew Randy way back in the late 70’s. I met him through my brother and sister-in-law. Alot of fun to be around in those days and always seemed to be smiling. Prayers to the family and sorry for your loss.
