Randy Dewayne Malet, 63, of Groves, Texas passed away Sunday September 15, 2019 at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas. Randy was born December 1, 1955 in Port Arthur, Texas to James Maximin Malet, Jr. and Sonya Yvonne Miller Malet. He was a lifelong area resident. Randy retired after 35 years as a construction contractor. He was a member of Port Neches American Legion Post 493. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Fonda Lowrey; brother-in-law, Marcus Johnson; and nephew, Casey Malet. Survivors include his daughters, Randi Malet Jackson and her husband Brian of Orange; step-daughters, Jennifer Ellegan and her husband Johnny of Richmond, and Sommer Rogers and her husband Eric of Denver, CO; sister, Mary Jimmie Lou Johnson of Groves; brother, James Malet of Groves; grandchildren, Alexis Como, Christopher Como, Jr., and Christian Como; nephews, Kyle Johnson and wife Karen, and Marcus Adam Johnson; nieces, Christin Lowery and Amanda Lowery. A visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 23, 2019 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, with Reverend Charles Miller of First Baptist Church Groves officiating.
