Raquel Ledet, known affectionately as “Rockiee”, was a vibrant soul who touched the lives of many with her creativity, kindness, and infectious energy. She passed away on June 3, 2024, in Houston, Texas, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Born on June 23, 1991, in Port Arthur, Texas, Raquel had a passion for the arts. Drawing, painting, and writing poems filled her days with joy and inspiration. She was known for always having flawless makeup and a love for makeup and jewelry. Her vibrant personality shone through in everything she did.
Rockiee was indeed the life of the party with her sweet demeanor and loud voice that could light up any room. She had a heart of gold, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need and had everyone's back. Her love for singing and dancing brought happiness to those around her, and her skills in the kitchen as a great cook delighted many.
Her interests in Cajun music and Jitterbug dancing were just some of the ways she shared her zest for life. Rockiee found immense joy in spending time with her children engaging in fun activities together. Her children - Leonard Viltz, Laila Ledet, Landon Ledet, London Ledet, and Lilliana Ledet - meant the world to her.
Raquel's proudest accomplishments included being a member of Encounter Church where she cherished her church family deeply. Knowing that she will be welcomed into her heavenly home by her grandmother, Patricia Ledet, grandfather, Guadalupe Robles, and uncle, Leo Ledet is a blessing her family will cherish. They held special places in her heart.
Raquel was preceded in death by her grandmother, Patricia Ledet; grandfather, Guadalupe Robles; and uncle, Leo Ledet.
Raquel is survived by her father and stepmother, Eustac Ledet and Krystal of Bridge City; mother, Michelle Robles of Port Arthur, children, Leonard Viltz, Laila Ledet, Landon Ledet, London Ledet, and Lilliana Ledet, grandparents, Roland Ledet Sr. and Jesucita Foster (Steve), siblings, Brandon Thibodeaux (Brittany) and family, Eustac Ledet II and family, Krystony Miller and family, Darrell Miller; Waylon Ledet, Koltyn Ledet, Chaztyn Ledet, Johnny Tompkins, and Lilly Tompkins; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Services to honor Raquel's life will be held at Melancon Levingston Groves on June 10th, starting with a visitation at 1:00 PM followed by the funeral service at 3:00 PM at 5601 39th St., Groves, TX 77619. Though she may have left this world too soon, Rockiee's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace knowing she was adored by so many.
