Butch Hoffman, 65, of Nederland passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Butch was born September 12, 1948 in Vidor to Raymond and Melba Hoffman and lived most of his life in the Port Arthur and Groves area. Butch retired from Invista Sabine River Works with 43 years of service as a maintenance supervisor. He served proudly in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Funeral services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark Follett officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of the family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Butch is survived his mother, Melba Hoffman of Colmesneil; daughter, Jolee Griffin and husband, Kirk of Nederland; son, Chet Hoffman and wife, Mandy of Orange; grandchildren, Emma Griffin, Koen Griffin, Brendon Hoffman, Mattie Hoffman, and Hudson Hoffman. He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Hoffman; and sister, Beverely Hoffman.
