I am saddened to hear of Mr. Howard passing. He was quite an influential part of my life as I made my way thru Boy Scouts and even in my life afterwards. I have many memories of the trips we took and adventures we had while I was involved with troop 61. I guarantee he played in integral part in instilling the morals and values that have made me the person I am today. The Doise family will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Howard thank you for being in our lives. We have such great memories of you. You were a great influence to so many young boys experiencing Boy Scouts. Our sons, Allen and Darren, achieved Eagle Scout rank with your guidance. I personally learned patients and how to be a Boy Scout leader thanks to you. Thank you for your service to our country. Rest in peace. Floyd Doise (Troop 61) and Linda Doise

Sometime in the late 1980's or early 90's, while serving as a District Scout Executive in the Three Rivers Council, Boy Scouts of America, I asked Raymond to serve the Council as Lay Adviser of the Tatanka Chapter of the Hasinai Lodge, Order of the Arrow. The OA being a program of the BSA that recognizes Boy Scouts and adult leaders for their commitment to the ideals of Scouting - Brotherhood, Cheerfulness, and Service. Raymond took on that job with enthusiasm and did a great job of influencing countless young men through his efforts. Also about that time he agreed to serve on the shooting sports staff at Camp Urland and Camp Bill Stark. Raymond did such an excellent job in his position of Shooting Sports Director that the Three Rivers Council honored him by naming the rifle range at Camp Urland after him. All the time he was helping with these jobs he continued serving Boy Scout Troop 61 at the United Methodist Temple as Chairman of the Troop Committee and in other capacities as needed. Raymond always had a helpful, friendly spirit about him. I don't remember seeing him without a smile on his face and am honored to have called him my friend. . God bless you, Mrs. Howard and family. Thanks for sharing him with us. Ron Derry
