Raymond "Ray" Arthur McNeil

Raymond Arthur McNeil, 79, of Livingston, Montana passed away December 23, 2010 from this life into the splendor of heaven at his home after a brief illness. He was born November 1, 1931 in Los Angeles, California to the late Lloyd and Barbara Pabitsky McNeil. He lived his early childhood in Houston, Texas. He graduated from St. Anthony High School in Beaumont, Texas and later graduated from Lamar University in 1958. He was the vicepresident of Material Management of Gulf Consolidated Services and later years was purchasing agent for Wilson Industries of Houston. He worked in the industry for 51 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Livingston, Montana.He was the loving husband for 34 years to Jean McNeil of Livingston, Montana father to Lloyd McNeil of Dallas, Texas, Laurie Fontaine of Jacksonville, Florida, John McNeil of Port Acres, Texas, and Janet Tinlin of Kountze, Texas stepfather of Jerry Ray Strickland, Jr. of Livingston, Montana grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents and stepdaughter, Regina Theriot.A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, Texas from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 30th at 2:00 p.m. at Melancon39s Funeral Home, Rev. John Burris officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
