Rebecca English Cropper, 75, of Tomball, Texas and formerly of Nederland passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at a Private Care Home in Houston, Texas. 

Rebecca was born on January 29, 1949, in Channelview, Texas to Falba McKusker Wood and Carl Wood.  She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Tomball and was a self-employed transcriber for thirty years.  Rebecca enjoyed music such as the Blues; 50’s music and Old Classic Rock N Roll.  She and her husband Ronnie enjoyed fishing, cooking and they would find time to go dancing. She especially loved her dogs but most of all she loved her family dearly and they loved her.  She will be missed.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-one years, Ronnie Cropper of Tomball; sons, Erik English of Tomball and Erin English of Tyler, Texas; her daughter, Michelle Morrissette of Calgary, Canada; grandchildren, Taylor English and Hayden English both of Clear Lake and Bailey English of Dallas, Texas; her great granddaughter and her grandson, Ashton English of Tomball, Texas; Scarlett English of Clear Lake and her brother, Carl Wood, Jr. of Spurger, Texas.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Falba and Carl Wood; her sisters, Barbara Bienvenue and Beverly Reid.  

A gathering of Family and Friends will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.  Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Melancon-Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland with a Rosary to be recited at 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Melancon-Levingston Funeral Home with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.  

Serving as Pallbearers will be Taylor English, Hayden English, Ashton English, Randy Laughlin, Jerret Romero and Richard James Cropper.
