Rebecca Sue Johnson, 64, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. She was born on June 7, 1950 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Melvin Joseph Dupuis and Catherine Lucille Thibodeaux. She was a lifelong resident of the area.
Rebecca is survived by her daughter, Lydia Gillard and her husband, Casey of Nederland; son, Troy Kilgore of Port Arthur; sisters, Kitty Laws and her husband, Wayne of Crystal Beach, Lori Dupuis of Port Arthur, and Renee Romero and her husband, Drake of Groves; brother, Chris Dupuis and his wife, Debbie of Nederland; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church in Groves on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Msgr. Kenneth Greig celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of the family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland.
