Rebecca Moore, 93, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Rebecca was born June 13, 1920 in Galveston, Texas to Alfred Ericksen and Rebecca Blum Ericksen. She was a homemaker and resident of Port Arthur for 68 years. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Arthur. She was a volunteer for 18 years at the Groves Senior Citizen Center where she was also a board member. She was a volunteer at Doctors Hospital for 9 years. Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Moore, Sr. and son, Alfred Moore. Survivors include her son, Mack Moore and wife Patricia of Nederland; daughter-in-law, Judy Moore of Port Arthur; three sisters, Agnes Brown, Charlotte Ericksen both of Galveston and Sylvia Yarborough of Splendora; seven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 23, 2013 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Bryan Johnson, pastor of Central Baptist Church of Port Neches officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
