Reda David, 80, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. She was born on September 1, 1932 in Beckville, Panola County, Texas to Isaac Newton and Sally Jarvis Davidson, Sr. Reda had lived in this area for 65 years and was a long time member of the Aldersgate Trinity United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and Y-Knots Square Dancers. She retired as an accountant from Mazur and Vernon after many years of service. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Russell Hall of The Methodist Temple officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Reda is survived by her daughter, Donya David of Lewisville, TX., two sons, Neil David and wife, Sherry of Groves, TX., and Wayne David and wife, Kim of Port Neches, TX., three sisters, Mattie Lofton and husband, Donald of Katy, TX., Joyce DuBose and husband, John of Bridge City, TX., and Mary Cronin and husband, Ray of Oxford, MS., brother, Issac N. Davidson, Jr. and wife, Jamie of Cumby, TX., five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
