Rene' Lynn Hebert

Rene' Lynn Hebert, 67, of Nederland, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025.  Rene' was born on September 4, 1957, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Elizabeth Estes Hebert and Richard Hebert.

Rene' grew up in Nederland and was a graduate of Nederland High School, Class of 1976, then continued her education at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.  She was an avid fan of Lamar University basketball.

Rene' had a passion for reading and watching classic movies, and visiting New Orleans where she enjoyed listening to Irish ballads and storytelling, by Danny O'Flaherty at O'Flaherty's Pub.  One of Rene's greatest joys was having family visiting her home.

Rene' had careers that spanned many different fields, but her two favorites were Toys-R-Us and the Port Arthur News, working closely with Bob West.  She was devoted to her Catholic Faith, showing compassion for others through her work with the Triangle Aids Network.  She also served as a secretary to Father Joe Romero at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.

Rene's family will always remember her sweet spirit and her stories of the past.  She always spoke with kindness to her family and will remain cherished by everyone that knew her.

Rene' is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Hebert, brothers, Richard Hebert and his wife, Sherri, and Roger Hebert and his wife, Joy.  Her extended family of a nephew, Russell Hebert and his wife, Whitney, nieces, Elizabeth Hebert and Eleanor Terlecki and her husband, Michael and a great niece Tatum Hebert.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Jennifer Macha with Heart to Heart Hospice, her caregiver, Christina Price, and all the nurses at Bonne Vie in Port Arthur, Texas.

Rene' will be remembered at a graveside service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Southeast Texas Humane Society, 20505 Spindletop Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77705, in memory of Rene'.
