Obituary

Billie René Sheppard, born on April 3, 1955, in Bluffton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026, in Nederland, Texas.

Rene' dedicated her professional life as an academic advisor in the Dishman School of Nursing for Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. Outside of her career, she found joy in a variety of passions, including painting, photography, crafts, and riding motorcycles.

She is survived by her loving fiancé, David Culver of Nederland, Texas; her sons, Chris Noyola and his wife Catherine of Lake Jackson, Texas, Jason Noyola of Nederland, Texas, and Marcus Noyola and his wife RaDonna of China, Texas. Rene' was a cherished grandmother to Gavin Noyola, Brooklyn Noyola, Anakin Noyola, Tatum Noyola, Londyn Noyola, and NaVae' Noyola. She is also survived by her brother, David Hulet and his wife Dolly of Las Vegas, Nevada, and her sister, Marie Hulet Moore and her husband Kevin of Stafford, Virginia

Rene was preceded in death by her parents, William Curtis Tooley and Patricia Marie Hulet.

Arrangements will be through Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland at a later date.
