Rhonda Kay Arnold, 58, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas. Rhonda was born July 28, 1957 in Port Arthur, Texas to J.D. Read and Rose Marie Bartels Read. She was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of First United Methodist Church Port Neches. Rhonda was a teller at MCT Credit Union in Port Neches and had previously worked for DuPont Credit Union. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Port Neches with Dr. Wesley Welborn officiating under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home Port Neches. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Port Neches. Surviving relatives include her husband, Robert Arnold of Port Neches, Texas; father, J.D. Read of Nederland, Texas; two daughters, Misty Cohrt and husband, Jamie of Port Neches, Texas; Mandy Brown and husband, Sampie of Hillsboro, Oregon; sister, Karen Henry and husband, B.W. of Silsbee, Texas; brother, Ronnie Read and wife, Sherry of Nederland, Texas; granddaughters, Emmie Brown, Josalyn Brown, and Hannelore Cohrt; and numerous nieces and nephews. I am so sorry that I am just now finding out that Rhonda had passed away. Since we moved to Lumberton, I have not kept up with her at MCT. She was always one of the kindest people and I enjoyed so much visiting with her. I pray for all of you during this time.

My heart is breaking over the loss of Rhonda. I have so many memories of her from high school (NHS Class of 1975) and the credit union. I will always remember her beautiful smile and sweet personality. May God wrap her family in his loving arms and grace them with peace.

I worked with Rhonda at MCT. Such a sweet lady. Always had a smile on her face. I will miss that sweet smile as I walked by the drive thru many times during the day. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Rest in Peace sweet Rhonda.
